Bradley Cooper's upcoming cooking film will have a new name when it hits theatres this October. Mxdwn reports that the Cooper fronted chef drama formerly known as 'Adam Jones', is being renamed to 'Burnt'.
The film was originally titled 'Chef' way back in the early stages of development in 2013. However they ran into a naming issue with Iron Man director Jon Favreau's film of the same name. In May of that year, Deadline reported that Sony and The Weinstein Company, the two studios backing Cooper's Chef, filed a cease-and-desist order against Favreau's movie. It proved unsuccessful though, As Favreau's film released in 2014. The studios then decided to shift the title to 'Adam Jones' which is the name of Cooper's character.
That title has also been scrapped however, as TWC unveiled a new poster which features Cooper decked out in Chef's whites with the new title 'Burnt' prominently displayed.
According to the film's official synopsis, Cooper will play a fallen Michelin starred chef looking to rebuild his career in London:
Adam Jones had it all - and lost it. A two-star Michelin chef with the bad habits to match, the former hospitality terrible of the Paris foodmaking scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To jumpstart his career again, he travels home to London and recruits the best professionals ever in order to get three stars for a top restaurant.
Cooper will be joined by a star studded ensemble cast that includes his American Sniper co-star Sienna Miller alongside Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), Emma Thompson (Love Actually), Jamie Dornan (50 Shades of Grey), and Daniel Bruhl (Rush).
To see what Cooper is cooking up, catch 'Burnt' in theatres on October 16 in the UK and 23 in the US.
