Prison Break Sequel - Fox Confirms Dominic Purcell And Wentworth Miller To Return

On Thursday, Chairman and CEO Gary Newman confirmed the return of the  serial drama series "Prison Break." The show's comeback will have a 10-episode limited series on Fox. CEO Gary Newman will likely to happen in the revival of the Prison Break to get a hold of a straight-to-series order. The episode of the "Prison Break" sequel event series is now in the works of series creator and executive producer Paul Scheuring.

As revealed by Fox Television Group co-chairman Dana Walden, the sequel of the Prison Break will pick up several years after what happened in the American television series "Prison Break" finale. The return of cast members Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell were also confirmed by Dana Walden. In the return of Miller and Purcell, they will reprise the roles of siblings Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.

Dana Walden said in a report, "I don't think (executive producer) Paul Scheuring knows exactly where he's going over the 10-episode arc, but it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience."

Walden also said that the death of Michael Scofield that wrap-up in "Prison Break: The Final Break," the character's death will be disregarded in the upcoming sequel. Some of the iconic characters in "Prison Break" will also return for the sequel.

CEO Gary Newman said that the American screenwriter and director of films and television shows, Paul Scheuring, had a very reasonable and realistic explanation of why the characters in "Prison Break" are still active and roaming worldwide. The "Prison Break" sequel event series is slated to air in 2016.

Co-chairman Dana Walden stated, "What Paul pitched to us was a very logical and believable - in the world of 'Prison Break' - explanation for why our characters are alive and still moving around the world," Walden also said, "Paul has a very detailed and incredible story for why these characters become relevant again."
