Blind Woman Kicked Out Of McDonald’s

McDonald's faces another controversy after mistreating a visually impaired woman in one of their stores in Norway. Tina Marie Asikainen from Fredrikstad was with her 5-year-old daughter when they were kicked out from the fast food chain even before they finished their meal because of their guide dog.

Mcdonald's employees loudly asked Asikainen to leave the store because they are with a Labrador Rex which caused her embarrassment. After attempting to explain her case, the blind woman left in tears. She warned to contact the police but they only laughed at her.

According to Asikainen, the staff did not show any compassion for them even after she showed her identity card. The employees were not even interested in checking the card. She also tried to explain her case and the purpose of the dog but the employees continued pushing them out in front of 20 other customers.

Asikainen explains that they entered in the McDonald's store with the black Labrador Rex with a fluorescent harness with a clear 'guide dog' mark. During the time the employees did not asked them to leave. But after ordering food, they were then kicked out.

The McDonald's employees were rebuked by two police officers who came at the scene. Press officer of the Norway branch Kathrine Moe has issued a statement regarding the incident.

"If this is true we regret it, for this certainly isn't what is supposed to happen. We obviously follow the law that visually impaired should be allowed to have guide dogs."

She also stated that the employees involved in the issue have not yet contacted her contrary to their claim.

The incident is not the first time in the history of Mcdonald's. Last year, similar event occurred in a store in Minneapolis where a disabled person was not allowed to eat inside the store

Asikainen stated that she will be filing formal charges against McDonald's on Monday.
