Gamescom 2015: Blizzard Entertainment Reveals 'World of Warcraft: Legion'

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the latest improvement made on 'World of Warcraft' at Gamescom held at Cologne, Germany. The 'Legion' is the sixth expansion of the Warcraft online game series.

The World of Warcraft: Legion features the new hero class named Demon Hunter. The new edition follows the return of The Burning Legion and players can now see The Broken Isles located at the heart of Azeroth.

The Demon Hunter includes unique abilities like the Spectral Sight which is a preternatural perception that enables the characters to detect their enemies that regular mortals could not normally see.

In the new expansion, gamers will witness a demonic invasion which is bigger than the war of the ancients. Gamers can also stream into Azeroth through a portal in The Tomb of Sargeras. By searching for the Pillars of Creation players can close the portal in the tomb.

A trailer video was released by the Blizzard Entertainment showing the new added features of the Legion.

The trailer says that, "We stand once more upon the brink of destruction." The Burning Legion will once again come to destroy Azeroth. The threat will push Azeroth to come together and save their land.

The new expansion will raise the game 100 level cap to 110. Online gamers can expect a new PvP honor system and artefact weapons such as Doomhammer and Ashbringer. Aside from this, new class order halls are also added.

Mike Morhaime, the CEO and cofounder of the Blizzard Entertainment stated that, "In World of Warcraft: Legion, the stakes for the Alliance and the Horde are higher than ever, so we're putting some of Azeroth's deadliest forces directly in players' hands."

"Whether they're wreaking havoc as a Demon Hunter or unlocking awesome new abilities for their Artifact, players will develop their characters' power in ways they never have before," Morhaime added.

The company will be launching a beta test for the online game before the year ends.
