The "Daddy Dave" crash video, which is now going viral and has more than 300, 000 views, shows the horrific moment that the "Street Outlaws" star may have cheated death.
"Daddy Dave", the star of Discovery Channel's "Street Outlaws," was injured in a horrific car crash during a drag racing event at the Amarillo, Texas Dragway Saturday night. The Saturday appeared to have given the daredevil a concussion.
Driving a souped-up Chevy II with nitrous filled tires at the No Prep event in Amarillo, the "Daddy Dave" crash video shows the reality star losing control of his vehicle seconds after the race started. He then slammed the car into a wall, after which it barrel-rolled several times before the crushed vehicle halted to a stop.
The "Daddy Dave" crash video was posted to YouTube Sunday.
After the crash, onlookers are heard in the video screaming and running while event staff rushed to the car to check if "Daddy Dave" is still alive.
Fortunately, the 41-year-old survived and was taken to a nearby hospital. He is currently in a stable condition. However, he is reportedly still suffering a serious concussion.
Daddy Dave's wife assured fans of his condition via Facebook, reported TMZ. While he may be suffering from a concussion, bruised lung and a few bumps and bruises, he is under recovery in his own room.
"First I need to thank all of you for your prayers! They have done X-rays and scans, we are just waiting for the results. He is in a lot of pain, pretty banged up and a serious concussion. He is talking but doesn't remember anything or even where he is. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and I will do my best to keep y'all updated!" according to an update on Dave's Facebook page.
In the "Daddy Dave" crash video, Dave's co-stars and competitors were also seen discussing over donating their own money from the race to help the reality star pay for medical bills, though one man said he's a "self-employed man" who can probably take care of it himself, according to Breitbart.
The Street Outlaws website says that "Daddy Dave" has been racing for over 20-years, with his career funded with an "endless budget" by construction mogul Jackie Knox. "Daddy Dave" is the reigning 'King of The Streets,' according to The Daily Mail.
