Avril Lavigne Wants To Make Movies

Canadian-French singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne, who was popular in the early 2000s for being a pop punk princess, seems to want to move to a new career path from being a musician to becoming a movie star. She recently revealed that her 'next goal in life' involves films and movies, according to reports.

"My next goal in life is movie making!" She said, "I want to act in a Christmas movie, horror film, comedy, and more."

The 30-year old 'Skaterboi' singer also added that besides music, she also has other passions such as art, fashion design and acting.

Besides filmmaking, the singer also openly talked about her personal desires. One of which includes being able to relocate from Canada to another European destination that would feature a different ambience from her home country.

"I want to move to Italy. I feel dreamy and happy there", she said. "I want to eat, drink wine, and make incredible memories there in my future."

Avril Lavigne currently resides in Great Napanee, Canada, however, she was originally born in France and she has been a legal French resident since birth.

In 2011, Lavigne applied for her passport and moved to France a year after to study the language.

"I moved to France by myself, not knowing anyone, to study French in 2012," she added. Lavigne and her husband, Nickelback vocalist Chad Kroeger, also held their wedding in France in 2013.

The 'pop punk princess' was previously married for four years to Deryck Whibley who is the vocalist and guitarist from Canadian rock band Sum 41.

Avril Lavigne has been reportedly diagnosed with Lyme disease brought by tick bites, causing pain in the skin, joints, heart and nervous system. However, the rock star didn't take it as a barrier to make herself look at the brighter side.

"I believe that I will come out of this healthier and stronger than I was before. I've gained a lot of perspectives on my life. I'm choosing to look at the positives," she said.
