The upcoming reboot of 'The X-Files' is one of the most highly-anticipated TV shows in 2016. The new mini-series will bring back the beloved pairing of Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), as well as an entire slew of fresh characters.
One of the new characters will be Agent Miller, to be portrayed by 'The Flash' star Robbie Amell. The smooth and smart agent will have a partner in Agent Einstein, who will be played by 'Six Feet Under' actress Lauren Ambrose.
However, the first image of Robbie Amell as Agent Miller seems to suggest that he will be paired up with a different agent.
Gillian Anderson posted the adorable Twitter picture of herself and Robbie Amell wearing X-Files hats. Could this mean that Scully will no longer be Mulder's partner? Could Agent Miller be Dana Scully's new protégé?

Robbie Amell has also appeared in 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'Brothers & Sisters,' 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'The Tomorrow People.' He has a recurring role in the CW series 'The Flash,' where he plays Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm.
The actor is the cousin of Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen in the CW's other DC show 'Arrow.'
Stephen recently made news when he addressed netizen's requests for his character to finally grow a Green Arrow goatee. Although Stephen Amell initially tweeted that he will not grow a beard for 'Arrow,' he later stated that he would grow the requested facial hair if the show reaches its sixth season.
'The X-Files' reboot also stars Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as Cancer Man. The Lone Gunmen, who were first featured in the original series and went on to star in their own spin-off show, will also make an appearance.
The new 'X-Files' returns to Fox on January 24, 2016.
