Nick Gordon's Mother Speaks Up After Bobbi Kristina Brown's Death

Following the news of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death on Sunday at the Atlanta hospice care where she was unconscious for almost six months, Nick Gordon's mother had finally spoken on behalf of her son, whom Whitney Houston raised at the age 12 to be her daughter's unofficial brother.

In her statement, Michele Gordon said that Bobbi Kristina's death is devastating to his son Nick and to the Gordon family.

"The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and to our family.", she said. "Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart."

She went on, saying "Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during the difficult time."

Reports say that Nick Gordon, who has been filed a lawsuit containing several charges from Bobbi Kristina's court representative, got a restraining order from Pat Houston prior to her niece's admission to the hospital.

On 'The Houstons: On Our Own' reality TV series, which debuted after Whitney Houston's death, both Brown and Houston families had made it clear that they didn't approve of Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina's relationship in the first place.

On Monday, July 27, an autopsy has been conducted to Brown's body and according to the initial results released, there was 'no obvious cause of death, and no significant injuries were noted'.

Though  no further details about the autopsy have been revealed, authorities said that some test results were still pending. While Bobbi Kristina's families and friends are still mourning, the authorities from the Fulton County D.A's office said that the hints leading to the singer's death were still under investigation.

The 22-year old singer and media personality will be buried in New Jersey next to her mother's grave, after her funeral in Atlanta.
