Batman v Superman: Tao Okamoto’s Role Confirmed by DC Entertainment

Tao Okamoto has been given female lead roles in movies such as The Wolverine, a sharpshooter in NBC's Hannibal, and finally a confimed role as seen in the trailer for Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. There has been a lot of speculation on the role of Tao Okamoto in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for some time.

But now, DC Entertainment has officially confirmed Okamoto's role as Mercy Graves in the highly anticipated superhero movie. The character Mercy Graves has become a familiar character in Superman: The Animated Series.

Bringing Okamoto's character Mercy Graves for the first time on the big screen, she will take the role of being the personal chauffeur of Lex Luthor who happens to be one of the most dangerously intelligent men in the planet, a super-villain, a brilliant scientist, a billionaire industrialist, and Superman's greatest enemy).

The street smarts and street-fighting abilities of Mercy Graves make her well equipped to be the personal bodyguard of Superman's greatest enemy.

The character of Mercedes "Mercy" Graves III was created by Bruce Timm a nd Paul Dini. Mercy Graves made her first appearance in 1996 in Superman: The Animated Series andoriginally created solely for television.

Mercy Graves also made appearances in other animated television shows such as, The Batman and Young Justice. In animated feature films, Mercy Graves appeared in Superman: Brainiac Attacks (2006) and Superman Doomsday (2007).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice cast include Henry Cavill as Clark Kent or Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne or Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince or Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in the United States on March 25, 2016. The film is directed by Zack Snyder, and written by Chris Terrio from a story by David Goyer and Zack Snyder.
