Gorillaz To Record New Studio Album On September

Rock group Gorillaz has some great news for their fans, as they are finally coming back with a new album. According to Pitch Fork, Damon Albarn said that the band will hit the studio to start recording their new album this coming September.

It started when one of the members of Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett hinted the public of their return when he posted an artwork featuring the animated faces of his whole band on his Instagram account. Fans started speculating about the band coming up with a new album after they released a hit called "The Fall" back in 2011.

Everyone who saw Hewlett's post on Instagram asked him if the band is returning with a new album. The musician didn't think twice when he answered them with yes, confirming that they are up for a come back. After that, this is another awesome news for the followers of the band because they are now pumped to started writing and recording again.

Albarn told ABC 7.30 that he is starting in September to record the album for Gorillaz. He said that he's just been so busy that it took a while to finally get back to it. He continued saying, "I'd love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week."

Everyone is now excited for the release of Gorillaz's new album. Hewlett's work on the animation of the group has really branded the band since then aside from making them known in music, they have also made a mark in the industry of graphic and fine arts. Even before Photoshop and Flash became a thing, the Gorillaz has already been there doing their thing with music and animation that captured the ears, eyes and the heart of music and art lovers around the world.
