In the latest bit of genius advertising from one of the biggest companies in the world, Nestle's coffee in 2015 is getting attention for their new brand, Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss, in the most interesting way possible: getting models and actors to perform as baristas without any clothes!
In the latest Nestle coffee 2015 ad, the iconic Swiss food and beverage company shows off their new line of coffee creamers with a new experiment, after they took over a coffee shop in New York City for an entire day and filled it with their own very good-looking, model and actors baristas, who weren't wearing any clothes whatsoever, actually being covered in body paint.
According to CNBC, the Nestle coffee 2015 ad, created by the company's advertising agency 360i, is intended to "turn heads in social media" in a campaign designed for the younger audience, which probably means coffee-drinking millennials.
Hilariously enough, being New Yorkers, the patrons of the "invaded" coffee house were more surprised that they were getting free beverages than the were about the Nestle coffee 2015 antic!
Fox News reports that, for their move, admen took over the Irving Farm Coffee Roasters shop in the Lower East Side neighborhood in Manhattan for hours on April 24, with body-painted models and actors (both male and female) replacing their usual baristas and serving coffee, even walking around in their "jeans and t-shirts" to continue the shock effect.
Speaking to Ad Week, the people behind the Nestle coffee 2015 ad spoke about putting their new product on the spot.
"Nobody really sits around and thinks about coffee creamer," Michael Nuzzo, the group creative director at 360i, told the magazine. "But when they do, they kind of go, 'Hmmm.' It was fantastic how gung ho the [store] customers were about the product."
Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time the shock strategy is used through people only wearing body-paint in advertising, as a restaurant in Louisville, Texas, did the same back in 2013.
The Drum called the Nestle coffee 2015 campaign the "Ad of the Day" last July 16 - and you can watch it below and follow the campaign through the social media hashtag #NaturalBlissCafe!
