'Star Wars' vs. 'Star Trek': 'Mythbusters' Star Adam Savage Settles Sci Fi Ship Debate Millennium Falcon vs. U.S.S. Enterprise [VIDEO]

Fans of the 'Star Wars' franchise are used to questions comparing the superiority of the franchise's weapons and ships to that of 'Star Trek.' But how do regular celebrities deal with such comparisons?

Io9 recently went to the San Diego Comic-Con and asked attendees the old question: Who would win in a fight, the Millennium Falcon or the U.S.S. Enterprise?

Most celebrities were stumped. 'Vampire Diaries' star Paul Wesley chose the Enterprise simply because "It just sounds great." 'Archer' voice actor Lucky Yates considered the possibilities before opting for the Falcon. Meanwhile, Luke Mitchell of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' also chose the Millennium Falcon because "I like the name."

The one celebrity who had the best response and instantly shut down all questions was 'Mythbusters' star Adam Savage. He immediately chose the U.S.S Enterprise.

"Specifically, because it can handle much more power, if you look into the mechanics of [it]," Savage said. 'Star Wars' has laser cannons, and the 'Enterprise' has four-ton torpedoes. There's a point at which, in 'Next Generation,' they encounter an ancient ship and Worf says, 'They're shooting laser at us' as if it's like, throwing stones."

He concludes, "The Millennium Falcon is no match for the Enterprise."

The Starship Enterprise is the massive ship helmed by Captain James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek series, and by Jean-Luc Picard in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation.' The spacecraft has undergone several registries since its first appearance in 1966.

The Millennium Falcon is a modified YT-1300 light freighter commanded by Han Solo and Chewbacca in 'Star Wars' Episodes IV to VI. The spacecraft is set to appear in the upcoming sequel 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.'

Lucasfilms recently announced that a Han Solo standalone film will be made in the future. The story will focus on the young smuggler and may feature how he came to possess the Millennium Falcon.
