McDonald's has a wide variety of food choices which includes their newly revived lobster roll.
The lobster roll is made of North Atlantic lobster, stuffed in a toasted bun, loaded with lettuce and mayonnaise. The loaded item comes with an $8.99 price, but if you want in a complete value meal with added fries and fountain drink it will cost about $13.99.
After 10 years of absence from the menu, McDonald's brought back the lobster roll on July 3 to compete with other popular fast food chains. The management assures that they use 100% lobster.
However, there's a negative review about the McLobster.
According to Adam Callagan at Eater, who wrote a review about the lobster roll that reads 'I Tried the McDonald's Lobster Roll Because You Shouldn't.'
He began criticizing the bun and the add ons stuffed in it.
He wrote, "The limp bun holds a bizarrely large amount of lettuce, both shredded and whole-leaf, neither of which is anything more than filler."
He added, "There's plenty of mayo, liberally mashed in with globs of shredded lobster meat in some awful sort of seafood salad."
Then he further goes on, "It's crowned by a lobster claw, which, when eaten individually, has the faint taste of lobster, but none of the succulence of the best of its kind. If you didn't see what you were eating, I don't think you'd guess, and I doubt you'd continue."
It was last month when McDonalds announced their new additions to the choices, but the lobster roll is only available in participating chains including Canada and New England.
Nicole Garvey, a McDonald's spokesperson said in Fox CT during the announcement, "The return of the Lobster Roll is exciting because we have requests for it every summer. It's a delicious sandwich and we are thrilled to offer this regional favorite at a great value."
