Demi Lovato Fires Back At Critics Accusing Her Of Dissing Ariana Grande During the MLB All-Star Game Concert

Demi Lovato, who recently rocked at the MLB All-Star game concert last Saturday, June 11, slams back to her online bashers who claimed that she dissed Ariana Grande during her performance held in Cincinnati, Ohio, E! Online reported.

Demi Lovato was picked as Grande's replacement for the big event. Ariana Grande on the other hand, backed out days after she was caught on a surveillance camera inside a donut shop in California, saying "I hate America. I hate Americans."

The 22-year old singer gladly took over Ariana's supposed duties and performed a couple of her hit songs at the concert, including "Heart Attack", "Skyscraper", "Give Your Heart A Break", "Really Don't Care" and "Let It Go".

In the middle of her 75-minute performance, Lovato sang her 2013 hit song "Made in the USA" with a couple of words, saying "I know it's a little late, and I didn't get to sing this on the Fourth of July... How many of you are proud to be an American?"

Several people who were at the concert turned to Twitter to bash Lovato, accusing the singer that she seemed to be making a hit on Ariana Grande's recent scandal. Her song "Made in the USA" has lyrics that show pride for being American, contrary to what Grande said a few days ago.

Lovato immediately defended herself from the bashers on the same social media platform. She tweeted: "Didn't get to sing Made in the USA on the fourth because I was singing #COOLFORTHESUMMER. No shade --- stop the bulls*t,"

Didn't get to sing Made in the USA on the 4th because I was singing #COOLFORTHESUMMER. No shade - stop the bullshit ✌

Ariana Grande, after getting quite the attention from her statements in the donut shop, has apologized for what had happened and clarified that she backed out from the All-Star Game concert not because of the controversy, but because she couldn't sing at that time due to her removed wisdom teeth.

Disregarding the detractors, Demi Lovato's performance gathered a 30,000-strong audience. On Twitter, the singer shared it was an incredible show.

"What an incredible show.. Wow wow wow. I still can't believe 30k people showed up.. Thank you @MLB for having me," she tweeted after she performed, sporting an all-white frayed denim outfit.
