Ariana Grande Apologizes For Donut Licking Incident [PHOTOS]

Ariana Grande has been making headlines recently, but not for her music. Just on Tuesday, a video was leaked of the "Problem" singer where she licked a donut over the weekend.

In the video, Grande was seen saying, "What the f-k is that? I hate Americans. I hate America. That's disgusting," as the bakery staff brought a fresh tray of donuts.

But now, Ariana Grande is apologizing for her remarks, which were "taken out of context." She told Entertainment Tonight, "I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I've always made it clear that I love my country."

She added, "What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words."

She continues to explain that her comments were related to the commonly perceived unhealthy eating lifestyles of Americans.

"As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole," Grande explained.

She even talked about the high obesity rates with children. Ariana cited, "The fact that the United States has one of the highest child obesity rates in the world frustrates me."

But Ariana wasn't all about her advocacy. It seems as though the "Bang Bang" singer is definitely regretting her actions. "However I should have known better in how I expressed myself. And with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better," Grande said.

Big Sean's ex-girlfriend also took to Twitter to apologize for the mishap. "Need to clean up this mouth of mine & set a better example for my babes. I apologize and I love you. Always learning," she wrote along with a photo of her statement.

It seems as though Ariana Grande really is remorseful about her comments, but will her fans continue to support her after this mishap?
