Mustache Wax: Johnnie Walker Aims Hipsters With Whisky Mustache Wax

In a day and age where products are growing increasingly specific for a targeted audience, it's clear who is it that Scottish whisky maker company Johnnie Walker is aiming at, as they launch an unprecedented new product for fans of the brand: a mustache wax scented created to make the company's whisky taste better.

The new Johnnie Walker mustache wax line is called The Boldest Wax Collection, and it comes in three different scents (Piperine Pepper, Ginger Root and Citrus Essence) that should actually enhance the flavor of their different whiskies with every sip taken, as they aim for a very specific audience.

According to The Daily Mail, the Johnnie Walker mustache wax come in 10ml pots and retail at £7.99 individually or £20 for the full set ($12.30 or $30.7), and it was designed specifically to complement their whisky and particularly their ginger cocktail, as the spirits industry grows increasingly more interested in the creation of male grooming products.

The Drinks Business reports that the collection is exclusively available in London's Huckle The Barber.

"The Boldest Wax is designed to specifically enhance the flavor of a Johnnie & Ginger, and give men the chance to maintain their style on the go," said Oscar Ocaña, the company's brand director, to The Spirits Business, speaking about their new mustache wax line. "John Walker was a proud moustache wearer himself - and as someone who could appreciate a classic when combined with something bold and new - we're sure he'd have sniffed out a moustache wax that enhances the flavor of a Johnnie & Ginger as a great idea."

Before the Johnnie Walker mustache wax was announced, a few weeks back Danish beer brewing company Carlsberg announced the launch of their new grooming line, with different products created from beer (such as shampoo) aimed at their male audiences, retrieving the benefits of the drink.

Connoisseurs should be able to enjoy the Johnnie Walker mustache wax for the summer, or at least until supplies run out in the United Kingdom.
