Black Friday is a few months away, but for Amazon, shoppers shouldn't wait that long to enjoy great shopping deals.
To celebrate Amazon's 20th year, on Monday, the e-commerce company announced that they will offer great deals for the online shoppers on July 15, a day before turning 20 years of being one of the largest Internet retailer. It's an online shopping spree called 'Prime Day,' a day full of great deals than Black Friday.
The deals will be available on July 15 at midnight, and new deals will be introduced as often as every ten minutes and will be featured in every category from fashion apparel to electronic gadgets. The event will also feature seven "Deals of the Day" as well as numerous short term "Lightning Deals."
The special deal will only be available to the Prime members in the US, the UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Austria. Although, the deal is for the Prime members, Amazon is currently offering 30 day free memberships for the non- members, who want to join the shopaganza.
A spokesperson for Amazon said that they don't have any final decision yet, if the upcoming special offer will become an annual event.
The spokesperson also added, that the company is planning other activities on the day of its actual birthday, July 16, to honor its origin which is an online bookstore.
Amazon is the leader of e-commerce, with their great offers and discounts, now, the upcoming deal 'Prime Day' is part of the Amazon's new attempt to drive non- members towards their Prime membership, which has an estimated 40 million members from the US.
In addition to the upcoming event, Amazon has been expanding its offered services, they recently started on offering same-day shipping for the goods bought from them, the offer is available for the existing Prime members only.
