Marvel Studios is looking for a high-profile superhero role, usually it take months before they get to choose the main actor - and this is the objective of every movie production in hollywood.

Marvel surprised a lot of people last fall, as it revealed interesting news about the highly anticipated hero Black Panther. The Black Panther will have a first appearance in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Now, Black Panther will have his own movie, which is set for summer 2018, and the character will be the Get On Up actor Chadwick Boseman.

Marvel did manage to pull off the Black Panther announcement without any significant leaks, and Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios head talked about it last week, Feige stated, "We were working on the Civil War draft, and we realized we wanted to do things a little different than the comics and bring in a third party," Feige also said: "We wanted someone who could look at this argument between Tony and Steve with fresh eyes, who wasn't siding with either of them. We started saying, 'What about someone like Black Panther?'"

The Marvel Studios president talked to Robert Downey Jr. to reprise his role of as Tony Stark in the Captain America sequel where Tony Stark and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) face off over a superhero registration act.

Marvel's major decision would normally mark the beginning of a months-long casting search. Kevin Feige already made up his mind who will play T'Challa as the Black Panther who is actually the first black superhero in American comics. Kevin Feige said about picking up Chadwick Boseman for the Black panther role.

Feige stated, "We just called Chadwick. He was the only choice," Feige also said: "he had just done the red carpet, and instead of going into the theater, he went back into his car because we had a call scheduled with him, and we said, 'Have you ever heard of this character Black Panther, and do you want to do it?' And he said, 'Yes!' and it was done."
