Grateful Dead Returns For Another Show Proving They Are No Cover Band

The Grateful Dead is back on Friday for a four-hour show on Soldier City where the band held their last show in 1995. It was also the same year that their drummer Jerry Garcia died.

The band has proven all these years their skills and relevance in the music industry. And when they did their final show back in 1995 in the historical Soldier Field, fans couldn't help but wonder if they are coming back or was it really for good that they will completely be out of the scene.

Fans who have followed this band, would be glad to know that they are back but only for one show to answer their fans requests. The original members will be there are Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Phil Lesh, according to The Guardian. Friday is the last of their 3 shows planned and called the 'Fare Thee Well' and it was the band's tribute to their late band mate.

NBC reported that all of the shows that the band planned are now sold out and tickets are available for $600 each for the secondary seats. Cameron Papp from StubHub also confirmed all of these including the fact that the band is just about to fill in the 61,500-seater of the Soldier Field Stadium.

The band has been known for their lyrics that pierce the heart when you read in between their lines. They are also known for doing such improvisation during shows. The band came from the Bay Area in San Francisco around 1960. During that time, they were considered among the legendary bands in America. They also were known to be linked with other bands named Phish, Blues Traveler as per NBC's write up. Although they were also known as a jam band, they also made it sure they marked a name in doing originals.
