Fans of the hit movie White Chicks got all excited when Marlon Wayans posted on his Instagram account the teaser/poster of White Chicks 2 on Sunday, June 28. It has been more than a decade since the first movie came out, now fans are wondering if it's really going to be released.
There have been rumors about its development over the past few years, but there hasn't been any confirmation about it. But according to Movie News Guide, after that post from Wayans, it is looking like fans of the movie are about to be happier knowing it is about to be released any moment son.
After more than 10 years of not releasing its second installment, it is safe to assume that they might not actually make another one. However, the teaser that Marlon Wayans posted showed him and his brother Shawn Wayans posing as two FBI agents for the movie with letters imprinted stating the sequel of the comedy film.
In an interview they did with the press back in 2013, Wayans hinted already that they are serious about creating its second installment. Now, about the poster Wayans published on Instagram, he placed a caption asking, "Show of hands who wants to see the sequel to this? 300,000 likes and I may make this our next movie." Followers of the movie went into a bit of a panic the moment Wayans posted it. However, there were only 137,000 likes on that day when he posted it. Right now, it has almost 400K likes so it's looking like it might actually happen. Fans are even commenting, "Make it happen already!" on his post. If you will notice from Wayan's words he used "May make," which means no assurance still or a guaranteed release date. But then again, it is now more than 300K likes and fans could just cross their fingers for this.
