After few months of speculation as who would be featured in the upcoming reality show on channel seven, it has come down to Chef Neil Perry sharing his kitchen knowledge on the TV screen.
Chef Neil Perry will star in Seven's new reality show 'Restaurant Revolution.' The 57 year old, changed the people's view in restaurant dining when he starred in the two LifeStyle Channel shows, Rockpool Sessions in 2004 and High Steaks in 2007. He has also appeared several times in the Masterchef.
The new show Restaurant Revolution sees participants run their own pop-up restaurants constructed all around Australia. The father of three will be mentoring the contestants.
Each team will be looking for different aspects to complete their restaurant. And that includes staff from the head chef, sous chef, dishwashers, bubbly, vivacious front of house staff and general wait staff.
Chef Neil, who appeared on more than 10 TV shows on the LifeStyle told the publication, "I really love the teaching aspect and watching people see and find out what it is like to create a restaurant from the ground up."
Each restaurant will be judged by the public and the experts. The winning team will be given $200,000 to start their own restaurant.
"You'll get to see what it's like opening a restaurant from the ground up for the first time and the struggles that are associated with that," he added.
Locations for the restaurants include Sydney (Centenary Square, Parramatta), Melbourne (St Kilda Triangle, Lower Esplanade, St Kilda), Brisbane (QPAC Playhouse Lawn, Cnr Grey St & Russell St, Southbank), Adelaide (Victoria Square) and Perth (103 Oxford St, Leederville), according to News.E
'Restaurant Revolution' will be telecast on Channel Seven. Chef Neil will be joining the other celebrity chefs Colin Fassnidge, Pete Evans and Manu Fieldel.
Aside from being busy of taking care his own restaurants, Chef Neil is also an author and an active charity worker.
