KFC Fried Rat Hoax: Laboratory Confirms Fast Food Did Not Serve Rodent Meat

Over the weekend, a third party laboratory has studied the contents of the alleged rat meat that KFC served to a customer in Compton, California and concluded that it was indeed chicken meat.

The rat-shaped meat was handed over to the facility after the fast food chain suggested that they hire an independent third party lab to investigate, when the customer's lawyer returned the meal to KFC.

Upon receiving the result, KFC issued an official statement saying that the customer's claim was not true.

"Recently, a customer questioned the quality of a KFC product, and this received considerable publicity given the sensational nature of his claim," the statement reads. "The product has now been tested by a third-party independent lab, which confirmed it is definitely a piece of chicken, as we knew all along."

Now, KFC is asking the customer to apologize publicly and to "cease making false claims about the KFC brand."

On June 12, a viral photo broke the internet when Devorise Dixon claimed that KFC is serving a dead rat. "I WENT TO KFC YESTERDAY AND BOUGHT A 3PIECE CHICKEN TENDER. AS I BIT INTO IT I NOTICED THAT IT WAS VERY HARD AND RUBBERY WHICH MADE ME LOOK AT IT. AS I LOOKED DOWN AT IT I NOTICED THAT IT WAS WAS IN A SHAPE OF A RAT WITH A TAIL," Dixon posted.

Business Insider added that a spokesperson from KFC mentioned about reviewing all their options on whether the company will pursue a legal action against Dixon.

Dixon, who advised people to not eat fast food after he had been "FEELING WEIRD" since he has eaten that controversial meal has not commented about the laboratory results nor released a public statement on his reaction.
