‘Fashion Police’ 2015: Joan Rivers Daughter Melissa Hosting After Giuliana Rancic Zendaya Racist Scandal And Kelly Osbourne Departure

To say that the E! flagship show tanked after the death of comedienne superstar Joan Rivers would be a vast understatement, as "Fashion Police" in 2015 has been surrounded by drama of all kinds, since it hired Kathy Griffin to replace Rivers all the way to major controversy over racism on the show.

After a few months of silence, the "Fashion Police" 2015 destiny has finally been revealed, as the cable network has announced that Melissa Rivers, reality star and daughter of the famous comedienne Joan, would be the one hosting and moderating the show when it returns next fall.

According to The Daily Mail, "Fashion Police" in 2015 will be returning to the small screen on August 31, when 47 year-old Melissa will join the coverage of the MTV Video Music Awards to finish the summer and kick off the awards season.

A couple of months ago, E! pushed back "Fashion Police" in 2015 until further notice, after the fashion critiquing show made headlines following co-hostess Giuliana Rancic's remarks about singer Zendaya's hair, which prompted cries of racism and the ultimate departure from the show of Kelly Osbourne, a longtime participant, and Kathy Griffin, who had only been in the show for a few episodes.

The network admitted they had jumped back into the show too son after Joan Rivers' death.

Over the past few months, there had been many rumors surrounding who would be taking Joan Rivers' spot, with names like hip hop model "Amber Rose, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes and even Kardashian sister Khloe being mentioned in the competition.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there will also be a new format for the "Fashion Police" 2015 episodes, as its ratings plummeted after Joan's death last year, and among the new features, there will be two rotating celebrity chairs.

Variety reports that Rivers has signed up for the six "Fashion Police" 2015 shows until the end of the year, joining Rancic and Brad Goreski, comprising the entirety of the regular members.
