The 28-year-old had a tough journey to stardom, starting out as a waitress at Hooters before landing her claim to fame television role, starring as Santana Lopez on Glee.

Naya is reported to spill some details about Lea Michele in her tell-all book.
Apparently, the Glee stars are less than friendly on the set of their hit TV series and the brunette beauty is said to be ready to take the gloves off.
According to US Weekly, the two had a major altercation. Now that the show is over, Naya is ready to share her side of the story and she is not holding anything back.
Rumors of a clash between Rivera and Michele began to surface last year. Reportedly, Naya was jealous of Lea's star power on Glee.

There was a lot of sighing and eye-rolling between them, a source said.
TMZ even reported that Naya went to the show's producers, throwing Lea under the bus for her behavior.
But in May 2014, Glee creator Ryan Murphy was quick to deny the rumors. 'I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated,' he said.
'I don't think there is a story between Naya and Lea. Naya's coming back next year, Lea’s coming back next year – anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started.'
Naya was also set to open-up about her romantic life. Although she's moved on from Big Sean with her husband Ryan Dorsey, she is expected to react to when Big Sean opened up about their relationship before, calling their romance “one of the darkest times” in his life.
Tarcher Books announced in a statement that Naya’s memoir will offer “candid thoughts on topics ranging from dating to the challenges of being mixed-race in Hollywood.”
