Katy Perry has recently reached a huge milestone in her career. On Tuesday morning of June 9, Katy Perry's music video "Dark Horse" has become the 3rd video ever, and the first video by a female artist, to receive more than one billion views on YouTube. Perry's video gains third place behind Justin Bieber's 2010 hit single "Baby" which gains almost 1.2 billion views, and still leading the pack is Psy's hit Korean music video "Gangnam Style" which has an amazing 2.3 billion views.
Katy's other video video "Roar" is already coming close to being her second video to reach one billion views as it currently has 954 million views on YouTube. Her fellow female artist and alleged nemesis, Taylor swift, also is coming close with her music video "Blank Space" reaching 923 million hits.
Rumors of recent has it that Katy Perry will release a new song titled "1984" and is supposed to be her next move against fellow female artist Taylor Swift. It turns out that such rumor is definitely false.
Both have been rumored to be in a feud. The song is not intended for Taylor swift. Perry's managers confirms that even though the track places her as the artist of the song, Katy Perry has no involvement in the upcoming single.
The feud between the two stars began years ago with Swift's back up dancers wanted to work in Katy Perry's concert tours instead of Taylor Swift's tour. The feud grew because of several comments during occasions and a few tweets about one another. Even though the two artists do not see eye to eye on several occasions, they still are great performers and are both doing well in their career.
