ASAP Rocky to Release Mixtape with Rod Stewart This Summer

Fresh off the chart topping success of his latest album at. Long. Last. ASAP which was just named the number 1 album in America, it seems ASAP Rocky is not done releasing new music in 2015. In a recent interview with Vulture, the Harlem born Rapper says he has a mix tape with Rock and Roll hall of famer Rod Stewart on the cards. The music legend also appears on a track from Rocky's latest album called 'Everyday'.

Speaking with Vulture, this is what Rocky had to say regarding the upcoming release: "You want to know if me and him have a mixtape coming out, don't you? me and Rod Stewart have a mixtape coming out, it's called Born To Be Pretty and it's definitely a panty-dropper. Droppin' this summer. You already know."

From the same interview, Rocky mentions that he also has a mix tape with Lenny Kravitz' daughter Zoe in the works. However details on that project were scarce. Rocky and Zoe are co-stars in the film 'Dope'.

Rocky acknowledges that teaming up with an artist like Stewart is a huge departure from his current sound but says he has no plans to shift genres entirely. "I wouldn't just jump into another genre," he said. "That's like being an athlete and going from one league to another. For me, I let my inspirations and influences in, and that's better for the music, as opposed to just trying to do a whole different genre."

It's been a whirlwind past few weeks for the 26 year old Rocky. His much awaited second studio album at. Long. Last. ASAP was released to much critical and commercial acclaim recently. The album is a star studded affair with collaborations from British producer superstar Mark Ronson, Rap Megastar Kanye West, and the aforementioned Stewart among others.

However not all the press surrounding the rapper has been positive. He was slammed by music journalists for including offensive lyrics aimed at pop star Rita Ora in one of the tracks on ALLA.
