Although they've never officially gotten married, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are by far one of the most stable and adorable couples in Hollywood, having been together for over three decades and raising their children together, including Kate Hudson.
The biological father of both Kate and her brother Oliver is Bill Hudson from the Hudson Brothers, but she's always said she considers the "Stargate" actor her real father, as it was Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn who raised both of her children with her second husband.
Over the course of the years, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been repeatedly asked about their civil status, as they've made no attempt at marriage in their 32 years as a couple, even after having raised their children from previous marriages together as well as their 28 year-old son Wyatt Russell, a former hockey player and now actor.
As Woman's Day reports, the long-lasting relationship between Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn is a rarity in Hollywood, where marriages will often last only a few months; and, as such, the Oscar winner has a lot to say about how things work out in a relationship.
"A lasting relationship isn't about marriage. It's about compatibility and communication," said the "First Wives Club" star to Porter Magazine when asked about the secret to the success of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's relationship. "Being together, two pillars holding up the house and the roof, and being different, not having to agree on everything, learning how to deal with not agreeing. Everything's a choice."
It certainly seems like the talented actress has her feet well grounded in life!
People Magazine reports that she also spoke candidly about aging, joking that it only meant that she was "still on the planet" and stating it was only a part of life.
No wonder Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are still going strong after all these years!
