Hollywood actor Harrison Ford is back flying a helicopter even after his recent plane crash that happened earlier this year. According to femalefirst.co.uk, it took him 72 weeks to recover from injuries of a broken pelvis and ankle he acquired. He also had a large laceration on his head, which the actor bravely surpassed.
NDTV reported that it was his vintage two-seater plane that hit the ground of the Penmar Golf Course last March 5, 2015, because of a mechanical defect.
Ford was hospitalized at UCLA after the crash but was finally discharged on March 30. US Weekly gathered some information from his representative right after the crash took place, saying the injuries he had were not exactly life threatening and he was expected to fully recover. The publication added that Sanjay Khurana who is a spine surgeon, witnessed all the pain the actor felt during the accident. He recalled ordering some people at the area to put dirt on the fuel so it won't erupt.
That experience has not kept the actor from being up in the air. He was recently sighted co-piloting a helicopter at the Santa Monica airport. The incident in March is not the first time the action star got involved in a plane flying accident. In fact, back in 2000, he also got into one riding a helicopter.
The actor told Entertainment Tonight about the significance of knowing all the safety measures that one must prepare while flying. This is one of the reasons that all the photos taken of him trying to fly again do not show any signs of post-traumatic stress coming from his previous crash. He was seen without any entourage and was looking all happy to be flying once again. Not even a slight sign of pain from his injuries was captured from the actor.
