Beach House Announces New Album, World Tour [PHOTOS]

Beach House just made the announcement about their new album entitled, "Depression Cherry." The 2015 album follows "Bloom," which was released in 2012. Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally recorded and produced the album with Chris Coady.

Beach House even described the reason behind the dark and moody title. "For us, 'Depression Cherry' is a color, a place, a feeling, an energy... that describes the place you arrive as you move through the endlessly varied trips of existence..." Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally said.

In a press release, via Pitchfork, the pop duo said, "In general, this record shows a return to simplicity, with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role."

"With the growing success of 'Teen Dream' and 'Bloom,' the larger stages and bigger rooms naturally drove us towards a louder, more aggressive place; a place farther from our natural tendencies. Here, we continue to let ourselves evolve while fully ignoring the commercial context in which we exist," they continued.

In fact, the album art also displays the same simplicity the duo is boasting about the material. The sleeve for the LP and the CD are created with red velvet. "Depression Cherry" will have a limited edition version called the "Loser Edition."
