Starbucks Express New York, Your Quick-Fix Coffee Solutions At Heart Of Big Apple

Starbucks Express New York was finally unveiled in Wall Street this week. The first-ever express format store is situated on a 538-square-feet-of-space at 14 Wall Street across the New York Stock Exchange. Starbucks Express New York is what the company calls "espresso shot" version of a traditional Starbucks coffeehouse.

According to Starbucks main website, Starbucks Express New York was designed for people-on-the-go "who want high-quality Starbucks products in a beautiful environment, coupled with the efficiency that comes with knowing what they want, quickly."

"It was a small space, so it was important that we keep it as open as possible," John Park, Starbucks senior architectural designer said in a statement. "The bar is low and the kitchen framed wide, like a show kitchen, so our partners are able to interact with customers from every point in the space."

As it lies only on a small space, that means customers can't bring in their laptops or tablets to sit and work there. Starbucks Express New York is designed for a fast-phased environment where customers enter the store, order to a staff that controls the tablet, pay and pick up order as swiftly as possible.

Starbucks Express New York at Wall Street is the pioneer in Wall Street, but the company declared that they are opening four more branches of express stores in the Big Apple before the year ends, the Wired reported.

Bill Sleeth, Starbucks Vice President for Store Design, stated in a press release that Starbucks Express New York was made initially for strategic purposes as it is built at the center of New York's financial district.

Starbucks Express New York was built where there's commuter's path where customers go and pick their coffee as fast as possible. The main idea is to offer speed so customers can't expect to order blender beverages.

Aside from Starbucks Express New York and other four other express branches the popular coffee company is also planning to open 3,500 new locations over the next five years, the according to Brand Channel.
