101 Year Old Man Rescued From Mounting Earthquake Debris Only Sustained Minor Injuries [+VIDEO]

101 year old man rescued from the earthquake debris of his home in Nepal seven days after the disastrous catastrophe is indeed a miracle. The 101 year old man rescued from the wreckage on Saturday only suffered minor injuries after rescue operation team found him and airlifted him to the nearest district hospital.

Identified as Funchu Tamang, the 101 year old man rescued from his home in Kimtang village in the Nuwakot district was trapped in the pile of his home debris that collapsed during the April 25 7.8-magnitude monster earthquake that killed thousands of Nepalese.

It was a big question how the 101 year old man rescued was able to survive the devastating disaster for a number of days. He was stocked inside the mounting rubble, but only sustained slight wounds. He was one of the latest victims rescued by the rescue team.

On Sunday, The Guardian reported that aside from the 101 year old man rescued, three other women were saved from the rubble in one of the most devastated districts struck by earthquake, the Sindhupalchowk.

Two women were buried under collapsed house while the other one was trapped in the mounting debris caused by landslide.

After the earthquake, fatalities are expected to rise even more. CNN Philippines stated that there were approximately 7,250 deaths and 14,122 injured people based on the National Emergency Operation Center report.

Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said at an event in Baku, Azerbaijan with Asian Development Bank meeting that the destructive earthquake "had completely or partially destroyed nearly 300,000 houses."

He seemed strong, but emotional during his statement that the catastrophe had brought rising death tolls and destruction of houses and it will take years for Nepal to recover. He emphasized that Nepal can recover, but with the assistance of other nations.

The 101 year old man rescued was a miracle. Mahat stated that since aftershocks have not stopped, death tolls are expected to increase and chances of survival are very wiry.

Death toll is expected to reach to 10,000, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala reported last week.

After the 101 year old man rescued, rescue operations are still continuously searching for survivors. About 20 countries are cooperating in helping find survivors by application of heat-seeking instruments and sniffing dogs over the mounting rubbles of earthquake.
