Unsurprising to anyone who's ever seen her parents, for a few years now the world has seen that Lenny Kravitz's daughter with "The Cosby Show" star Lisa Bonet, "Divergent" actress Zoe Kravitz, is just as incredibly beautiful as her famous parents - but now, the actress, singer and model has revealed one of her biggest struggles.
In the 80s, Lenny Kravitz's daughter made news just by being born, as her parents had recently eloped and her mother, a star in one of the biggest shows at the time, had become pregnant at a young age; in other words, the 26 year-old beauty has been surrounded by headlines her entire life.
Now, according to The Daily Mail, Lenny Kravitz's daughter makes news for a whole different reason: her struggles with multiple eating disorders when she was younger.
In a recent cover story with Complex Magazine, Lenny Kravitz's daughter Zoe revealed that she has struggled with eating disorders (particularly bulimia and anorexia) for a good portion of her life, only gaining back her health two years ago, after having already made a few big movies such as "X-Men: First Class."
"I had a really hard time when I was 16, 17, 18. I started with the eating disorder in high school," said Lenny Kravitz's daughter, according to Entertainment Tonight, telling her story of how things got worse when she decided to step into her parents' world in Hollywood. "I think it was definitely about being around that world, seeing that world. I felt pressured."
Life and Style Magazine reports that Zoe struggled with her weight for almost a decade, and didn't think to seek help (in spite of her famous parents begging her to do so) until 2013, when she played a woman in her 20s struggling with anorexia in the dramedy film "The Road Within.
In the interview, Lenny Kravitz's daughter suggested that the insecurities that led her to eating disorders may have been due to her parents, as she often compared herself to her mother's beauty and the supermodels her father dated, such as Adriana Lima.
