Last week, the Shonda Rhimes show took an incredible turn as one of the major and most beloved characters, Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) was left for dead at the end of the episode, after Rowan (Joe Morton) threated Olivia (Kerry Washington) with war - but is he really dead in the "Scandal" season 4 episode 20?
The previous episode ended with Jake being lured to the offices of Olivia Pope & Associates to supposedly meet Olivia, but there he's met with Russell, the fixer's new man, who ends up being one of Rowan's hit-men - the two men get into a major fight and Jake is left for dead, and it's unclear whether he'll be making it to the "Scandal" season 4 episode 20.
Hearts all over the country shattered into pieces last Thursday, when it appeared Olivia's troubled love life had lost one of its major players, as the torn Washington fixer was faced with the choice to either end the career of US President Fitzgerald (Tony Goldwyn) or keep Rowan without paying - and the "Scandal" season 4 episode 20 sees the cast take a step further into the B613 war.
According to Christian Today, the first previews of the "Scandal" season 4 episode 20 show a terrifying promise: Rowan taking on Olivia's team after going after Jake. Unsurprisingly enough, it seems like Command is willing to do anything to keep the B613 secrets from coming out into the light, even threatening his own daughter and her friends - and fans of the show know just what Papa Pope is capable of.
Yibada reports that, inside the White House, the "Scandal" season 4 episode 20 throws a different perspective on Mellie's (Bellamy Young) political race, as the entire nation turns against her just as she's campaigning to become a Virginia Senator.
And as for Jake's fate, International Business Times reports that recently leaked photos from other episodes show that the trained agent is still alive - though severely beaten up and getting care from Olivia herself.
The "Scandal" season 4 episode 20 will air tonight on ABC - watch the previews below!
