Anthony Bourdain to Host New CNN Show

After eight seasons, the Travel Channel's  Emmy-award winning show No Reservations, is ending. Anthony Bourdain, however, will continue his run as a show host with a new show on CNN. The new show, which is currently untitled, will "be shot on location and examine cultures from around the world through their food and dining and travel rituals," according to a press release.

Fans of No Reservations will want to tune in, since the new idea is being brought to life by the same cast and crew they loved. "Same production team, same amazing crew, same me--but the world just got a whole lot bigger," Bourdain told Eater.

The audience will be bigger, too. The Huffington Post is reporting that the show will air on both CNN and CNN International, and Bourdain will become a commentator for both branches. "Examining the world through the prism of Tony's unique expertise and passions continues CNN's long-standing commitment to international reporting and to promoting global understanding," said Mark Whitaker, CNN Worldwide Executive Vice President and Managing Editor.

CNN's Eatocracy blog says the show will be "a signature showcase for the network’s coverage of food and travel."

Audiences can decide for themselves when they tune in. The show is scheduled to premiere in early 2013.
