There are few people in the world who take themselves as lightly as The Hoff, and the new David Hasselhoff music video proves once again that the "Baywatch" actor is more than willing to make fun of his own fairly ridiculous image - and he'll make fans around the world laugh along as well!
The Hoff, as he's commonly known, is one of the richest stars in the world due to his highly profitable franchise "Baywatch," which he also produced at the time of his release; however, he also had a strong love for singing, having a widely spread career as a singer in Germany, but the new David Hasselhoff music video goes way past the European country!
According to The Verge, "True Survivor," the new David Hasselhoff music video, is "ironic, nostalgic schlock" that works nonetheless, as it brings back memories of other ventures by The Hoff such as that time in 1989 when he stood on top of the Berlin Wall to sing about peace when the separation between the two Germanies was right about to end - which was pretty hardcore in itself.
ABC News reports that the David Hasselhoff music video is a very 80s-looking clip that works wonderfully, seeing the former "Britain's Got Talent" judge doing things as strange as going for a few Kung Fu moves, riding dinosaurs (this is actually a thing in the video), dogs with lasers instead of eyeballs and, of course, additions like gunfights, computer hackers and street riot sequences that "would make Steven Segal proud."
According to IGN, the new David Hasselhoff music video was created as a tie-in for "Kung Fury," his Kickstarter campaign to fund a silly comedy based on 80s action films; the story, as ridiculously funny as the video, deals with a Kung Fu cop that goes into a time machine to kill Adolf Hitler.
