Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 2 Episode 16 SPOILERS: Inhumans Take Skye Under Wing, SHIELD In Pieces [VIDEO]

Ever since the midseason finale last year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff show has been creating more and more intrigue, introducing a few more characters from the comics and even an entire new race of people - and the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 16 delves even deeper into the new secrets of the show!

Last week, fans of the show got to see how the other version of SHIELD, the one led by Robert Gonzalez (Edward James Olmos) came into the domain of Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), besides the fact that Skye (Chloe Bennet) called the head of the Inhumans, Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) to go where they all are and learn to control her newfound powers - and the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 16 will see more on those two fronts.

According to Ecumenical News, the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 16 will be called "Afterlife" and it will heavily feature Gonzalez making his move, as he now has full control of SHIELD, namely all fractions of it - even though Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) managed to make Coulson escape, telling him he was far too important to the organization.

"As Robert Gonzalez makes his move, Coulson must do whatever it takes to protect the future of S.H.I.E.L.D," reads "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 16 synopsis, according to MStarz. "Meanwhile Skye's journey to control her powers takes a surprising turn when she meets the enigmatic Inhuman named Lincoln."

Comic Book reports that other characters coming back for the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 16 will be Raina (Ruth Negga), rogue HYDRA double agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) plus Skye's father and supervillain Cal (Kye MacLachlan), while the episode will also feature Gordon (Jamie Harris), Jiaying (Dichen Lachman), S.H.I.E.L.D. Leader (Craig Johnson), Robbie (John Forest) and Honest Eddie (Stoney Westmoreland).
