It's been a big year for the lead singer of Coldplay, as in the past year he didn't only split from his longtime wife Gwyneth Paltrow, but he was also involved in a whirlwind romance with Oscar-winning America's sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence ... but now, it's Kate Hudson and Chris Martin making headlines.
The "Almost Famous" actress herself has also recently split from her husband, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, so it's clear she has a thing for British musicians (and rockers in general, as her first husband was The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson) - but it seems like now there's a new superstar couple in the making with Kate Hudson and Chris Martin.
According to The New York Post's Page Six, Kate Hudson and Chris Martin were seen together over the past weekend, as the 35 year-old blonde actress took her children, Bingham and Ryder, to the beach in Malibu, and they were all later joined by the "Viva La Vida" singer.
He also brought along his two children, Apple and Moses, from his previous marriage.
TMZ reports that Kate Hudson and Chris Martin have been friends for a very long time, but they certainly didn't look like buddies when they were all hanging out at the beach, having a very family-friendly time. Are things getting serious between them?
Martin seems to have a thing for American blonde actresses, as his record shows him hooking up with two different Oscar winners with that description: Gwyneth Paltrow from "Shakespeare in Love" and Jennifer Lawrence from "Silver Linings Playbook."
If indeed Kate Hudson and Chris Martin are now a couple, Hollywood Life reports an interesting twist: they were actually introduced by Gwyneth. Apparently Kate has been her friend for a very long time, and she thought the two would hit it off - after the infamous "conscious uncoupling" comment, it has become quite clear that Paltrow and Martin keep a good relationship after splitting.
Though it's unclear what's true and what's rumor about a possible Kate Hudson and Chris Martin relationship, they certainly look comfortable with each other!
