Things have been tough for the big Washington fixer ever since the midseason finale last year, when Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) was kidnapped from her home and then sold in auction - and in the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14, audiences will start to see the gladiator suffering the consequences with PTSD.

Posttraumatic stress disorder, or PTSD for short, may develop on people that have been exposed to traumatic events, from victims of sexual abuse to war veterans; now, the Shonda Rhimes show will feature its protagonist Olivia Pope dealing with the tough emotions of trauma on the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14.

As Food World News reported, the preview to the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14 saw the head of Olivia Pope & Associates being finally sold in auction, and the former mistress of President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) ended up being rescued by former gladiator Stephen Finch (Henry Ian Cusick), who was contacted by Abby (Darby Stanchfield) through Interpol.

In the last scene of the previous episode, it could be seen that the US government was interviewing Olivia, as they asked her about the experience of being kidnapped and who'd done it - and it was obvious that the memories of the horrible experience continued to haunt her.

According to International Busines Times, the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14 will feature Olivia going back to business, though perhaps much too soon, as she's now experiences tremors and different levels of uneasiness, all of which are often the sign of posttraumatic stress.

In any case, it seems like Olivia's life is about to get even more complicated in the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14, as it if needed further complexity, as she struggles at balancing her personal life between her on-again-off-again romance with Fitz (Goldwyn) and Jake Ballard (Scott Foley).

As KDrama Stars reports, the "Scandal" season 4 episode 14, entitled "Lawn Chair," might also feature the creator and star of the HBO show "Girls," Lena Dunham, as she's confirmed she'll be in a few episodes of the hit ABC drama - watch the promo for the episode below!
