Mark Ruffalo Twitter: Hulk Actor Wins SAG Award, TWEETS Acceptance Speech!

In pure "Avengers" fashion, the actor who plays The Incredible Hulk is so cool that he didn't even need to be present at an award ceremony to steal the show - and so Mark Ruffalo's Twitter profile was where the actor accepted his Screen Actors Guild Award!

Often considered one of the nicest actors in show business, Mark Ruffalo's Twitter page is often filled with awareness tweets about his philanthropic pursuits, particularly as he advocates in the fight against climate change and what it would mean for planet Earth - but now, over the past weekend, the actor took a bit of time for himself as he thanked the most important people in his life for this major acknowledgement.

According to The Daily Mail, Mark Ruffalo's Twitter speech wouldn't have even happened if he hadn't been woken up by his wife and children, who were watching the award show in the late hours of the night to see whether the big guy of the house would take home a win for "The Normal Heart," the multiple award-winning television mini-series about the HIV-AIDS crisis among gay people in 1980s New York City.

As AOL reports, Mark Ruffalo's Twitter page saw the actor posting a selfie in his pajamas, after his family woke him up to tell him the news - even though he had to get up to work only for hours afterwards!

As E! Online reports, while the actor won in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie (beating favorites like Benedict Cumberbatch in "Sherlock" and Billy Bob Thornton in "Fargo"), he was also nominated for a second award that night: Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, for his work in "Foxcatcher" - where he was ultimately beaten by "Whiplash" favored to win J.K. Simmons.

"Ha ha ha!" Mark Ruffalo's Twitter first said. "Sunny and my kids just woke me up to tell me I won a SAG award. Have to be at work in 4 hours. Thank you! @SAGawards"
