Katy Perry Super Bowl: ‘Roar’ Singer Anxious Over Half-Time Show Ahead

Besides the Super Bowl XLIX actual event in which the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will face each other to find a victor, there's yet another thing audiences are anxiously waiting for in the half-time show: Katy Perry's Super Bowl performance, her very first ever!

The half-time show in the Super Bowl is one of the most iconic moments in sports, and it's a dream for many artists to get to that point and fill that stage - now, a recent interview reveals that the "California Gurlz" star might be more nervous than meets the eye as the Katy Perry Super Bowl performance draws nearer and nearer.

According to People Magazine, the beautiful singer behind hits like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Roar" has confessed in a recent interview that the Katy Perry Super Bowl performance has her a bit choked up, as she feels she's gotten way more than she bargained for and is very nervous about how it'll go on February 1.

"Honestly? I feel like I've outdreamt my dream," the singer said about the upcoming Katy Perry Super Bowl presentation to the ESPN Magazine music issue. "I don't get nervous about much, but I'll definitely be a little tingly inside that day."

No surprise there, considering she'll be starring the most-watched show on television, in a spot so coveted that the advertising spots during the Super Bowl are the most expensive ones in the country.

While Perry will be the main act in the Super Bowl, she'll still have a couple of people around to ask for advice, like "Frozen" actress and singer Idina Menzel, who will be singing the national anthem, and Lenny Kravitz, who will be joining Perry onstage that night.

As The Daily Mail reports, she shared the ESPN cover with J. .J. Watt, the Texans defensive, who seemed a little bit jealous, as he said she was playing in a bigger stage than he'd ever gotten to, as he said he looked forward to reaching the Super Bowl one day.
