Lenovo has always been a big name in the laptop and tablet industry. It may not possess the characteristic of the next Apple killer, but the company has built on its foundation of releasing high-end devices with low-end prices. Testament to this are the newest products from Lenovo announced during the CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
First of the many products announced was the Tab 2 A7 tablets. The tablet has a 7-inch display and runs on a dual core processor with integrated Dolby sound card. The tablet runs on the Android platform with Android 4.4 Kitkat. According to Lenovo the tablet can run for as much as 8 hours on full charge. Another variant of the A7 is the A7-30; the only difference is that the latter has 3G capabilities which enable it to be used for video calling. Both models however has display resolution of 1024 x 600.The tablets main charm is its price, A7 will be available late Jan. for only $99 and the A7-30 will be available on March for $129.
Lenovo's second announcement was the successor of its Flex laptops, the Flex 3. The name alone is already an obvious giveaway that it is a third generation laptop. The Flex comes in three variants based on its screen sized, 11 inch, 14 inch and 15 inch. All three models feature a screen that can be rotated 360 degrees. The 11 inch Flex 3 runs using an Intel Pentium chipset while the two larger variants can be upgraded use an Intel Core i7 chip. Just like the previous reincarnations of Flex, this new models can be used as a tablet as well since all three sports a touch screen display. The Flex 3 will be released to the market in May. The 11 inch will be released for $399, the 14 inch for $549 and the 15 inch model for $579.
Finally, Lenovo unveiled its newest Ultrabook, the S41.A thin and lightweight notebook that runs using the Intel Core i7 chipset with options to upgrade it with an Nvidia GeForce graphics card. It will be released on June with starting prices at $799.
