Florida authorities have confirmed news of a Disney bus crash where a car passed a red light and collided into a Walt Disney World bus that was carrying around twenty passengers; unfortunately, a woman lost her life in the impact.
It's sad news for the so-called Happiest Place on Earth, after news broke out of the Disney bus crash that killed one Floridian after she crashed her car against a bus filled with visitors of the land fashioned by Mickey Mouse creator Walt Disney, near a resort from the famous amusement parks.
According to The Huffington Post, the Disney bus crash happened on the early hours of Monday, at approximately 1 am. Different reports state that a 29 year-old woman from the small town Windermere, Florida, ran a red light that ultimately led her to crashing against the Disney transportation service.
The Florida Police has stated that the Disney bus crash happened on Buena Vista Drive, near the entrance to a World Disney Resort: the Coronado Springs. The street's name was Western Way; the driver was taking a left turn on a red light and went straight into the bus.
Click Orlandof reports that the woman, identified as Amelia Davis, was rushed to Celebration Hospital for treatment, as she was severely injured from the Disney bus crash. However, she didn't make it and passed away later on.
A third vehicle, which was driving right behind the Disney bus, sustained some minor damage due to the collision, but no wounded. According to CBS Miami, everyone else involved in the crash - which is to say, the passengers of the Disney-owned bus and those traveling in the third car - sustained any injuries.
Currently, the Florida police department is investigating further whether there are any other factors to be taken into account; in the meantime, World Disney Resorts have been contacted for a statement but they haven't made any official announcements on the subject.
