The two were spotted in front of the New Yorkers who welcomed them in front of the hotel they were staying at and they smiled brightly and waved as they walked hand-in-hand. William was seen wearing his signature suit with a blue tie while Kate was dressed in a burgundy Séraphine coat over her dress and kept her hands warm as she donned a pair of black gloves.
Prince William reportedly told the hotel staff when they entered the hotel that it was good to be there despite having traveled almost seven hours to be in the city. Kate and William touched down at the John F. Kennedy International Airport via the British Airways.
The couple is believed to be staying at the Carlyle Hotel where other celebrities have stayed in the past such as George Clooney, Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson. A source said that the hotel was actually Princess Diana's favorite and that "The suites are all different and unique. Everything and anything they need will be ready for them at the arrival on Sunday," in reference to the royal couple.
Kate and William are under a heavy security as a staffer said, "They are being extra careful. Even during the Met Gala, security isn't this tight."
The parents of Prince George are expected to have really busy schedules a William is to travel to the White House to meet United States President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. As for Kate, she will be visiting the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem before the two are set to watch an NBA game in Brooklyn.
