Now that Apple has entered the phablet market, Samsung's throne might be taken away as iPhone 6 Plus steamrolled over all smartphones with large screen to get the biggest market share. Based on the report of Kantar World Panel, Apple grabs 41% of the market of phablets.
iPhone 6 Plus has established itself as the mainstay in the market, which at ten percent of all smartphone market is a small yet a growing segment. When compared to the series of Galaxy Note that makes up five percent of the sales in phablet market in the United States and eight percent of the sales in China.
Now that iPhone 6 Plus has proven itself why users should buy it, this is far from the most famous iPhone. The unit ranks as the fourth in the overall sales of iPhone. The top 3 include iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 5C. The most known is iPhone 6, which comprises thirty-three percent of the iPhone sales. While iPhone 5S only makes up twenty-six percent, iPhone 5C got 18 percent and 10 percent for iPhone 6 Plus.
Numerous competitors including LG and Google have also launched their phablets recently. Nexus 6, made by Motorola, launched last October while LG has announced the LG G3 Stylus last August. There are other companies that are entering the world of phablet market. Maybe, iPhone 6 Plus has something that other phablets don't offer. That is the reason why its sales is increasing rapidly compared to some phablets that you will find in the market at present.
Although Samsung and other huge competitors should not be afraid with the increasing sales of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, this should serve as a challenge for them to make their next major flagship phablet one of a kind.
