Corpse in foreclosed home was found inside a Florida house purchased through an auction. The gruesome find was believed to be there for three to four years.
William Wilson, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida recently got a chance to own a house through an auction for an amount of $96,000. It was a light pink, three bedroom house in Cape Coral. Wilson visited the house for the first time Wednesday to make an inspection of his purchase but was surprised of what welcomed him in the master's bedroom floor. He found a corpse in the foreclosed home which was the owner of the house, as reported by The News-Press.
Wilson immediately called 911 after seeing the decaying body on the floor. Cape Coral police came and cordoned off the property location to begin investigation behind the owner's death.
The corpse in foreclosed home is the owner of the house, a 60 year old woman. Residents of the Cape Coral neighborhood told that the house was owned by two sisters. In a report by People, the body of the woman was identified to be Carmen Garcia-Viso.
Garcia-Viso bought the house in 2002 after moving in from Miami. According to some of the neighbors, the owners of the house have not been seen for a while. Garcia-Viso never really talked to the neighbors.
"I bought a house at a tax deed auction," Wilson said. "Apparently, the reason was it was full of unpaid taxes; the owner died and she couldn't pay her taxes. Nobody ever came and got her, so she's still in the house."
The gruesome corpse in the foreclosed home might have been there for three to four years since no one from the owners have been seen for three years already. The police have inspected the house twice in 2013 but did not see anyone in the house.
Corpse in foreclosed home had been partially eaten by animals according to Wilson. He has now to think of what he will do about this purchased house. Neighbors regret and feel bad that no one had checked and known about the house's owner.
