Melissa McCarthy Says ‘Ghostbusters’ Co-Star Chris Hemsworth Is Pretty Much ‘Shirtless’ The Whole Time

Melissa McCarthy is making the world’s most awesome promise about her new Ghostbusters remake. The new all-female ghoul busting squad has dreamy Chris Hemsworth playing their receptionist, and the Thor star will be revealing his 2014 Sexiest Man Alive bod the whole time.

E! News recently caught up with Melissa McCarthy and she joked on how their male co-star, Chris Hemsworth just walks around without a shirt. She laughed, “He was shirtless the entire time. It’s just what Chris does. He likes to go topless all the time.”

Chris has a keen sense of humor, judging from the time he hosted Saturday Night Live and pretty much blew everyone away.

"He’s weirdly, weirdly funny like so funny that I don’t know what’s he’s doing doing action movies,” McCarthy gushed. “I remember Kristen and I just looking at each other and we’re like — and I think she meant this seriously — ’Did he bring writers?’ because he was one of the best improvisers that I’ve ever worked with. I wouldn’t say that. I would just say he’s swell. Weirdly great improviser, super funny and there’s just hours of footage of us bawling laughing because we had gone crazy. He was awesome."

The actress, who was in L.A. promoting the holiday collection of her Melissa McCarthy Seven7 fashion line at Lane Bryant, stars alongside Hemsworth, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and many more in the anticipated all-female reboot of the 1984 original, which starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Sigourney Weaver.

Director Paul Feig also confirmed that we’ll be seeing a topless Hemsworth in the film. “You will be seeing some man flesh,” he said to E! at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards.

The new reboot promises to be completely mind-blowing. Plenty of the original film’s stars are coming back in cameos! The OG ghostbusting team of Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Dan Aykroyd will all be returning, as well as the original film’s love interest Sigourney Weaver.
