It's official; 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is underway, and the cast has already received their scripts in the mail.
But how exciting is it to finally know what will happen in the highly anticipated sequel? Karen Gillan, who plays Gamora in the film, recently shared with CBR how she reacted when she finally got the script.
"I took it in my hands -- because they don't send it over email; they deliver it by hand -- and it was so cool," Gillan said, adding that the script also came with the music.
"I was so excited, and I ran upstairs, and I put on the soundtrack, the Awesome Mixtape 2, and then got into it. It's so good," she said.
Although Karen Gillan couldn't share more details about 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,' she did confirm that she was looking forward to working with on-screen sister Zoe Saldana.
"I think what I'm really excited about it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula," she said. "I think that we're going to see a little bit more of that, and it's going to be a bit more fleshed out."
The former 'Doctor Who' star also admitted that she enjoyed working with director James Gunn for his infectious enthusiasm.
"'Infectious' is the word. James Gunn is the most enthusiastic. He's on this natural high the whole time," Gillan shared. "And it just makes us so excited about it. He just knows the world inside out. He's so passionate about it. The whole thing has come from him. It's totally his vision. It hasn't been compromised at all. It's completely down to him. So that's the most exciting thing."
'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' also stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. The film is scheduled for release on May 5, 2017.
