A Chicago woman had been arrested Friday after she lost her cool over Denny's rule with their all-you-can-eat pancakes.
According to AOL, the incident took place at a at Denny's restaurant in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The woman who dined at the Chicago branch was eventually charged with assault and property damage after she almost punched one of the waitresses.
Natasha West was the woman arrested over the Denny's rule. A 27-year old Chicago native, West was with her friends Friday evening when she got irate at her server when she was told that Denny's rule with their $4 all-you-can eat pancake deal was that it cannot be shared.
BCNN1 reported that the waitress prevented her from sharing her pancakes, causing her to lash out.
According to the Oak Lawn Police Department, West first cursed the waitress, then she tried to punch the employee several times. Fortunately, none of the punches landed on the waitress, probably because West had reportedly not been during the incident.
West, outraged, left the Denny's location and did not pay the $4 deal, as well as the tax required. In addition, she tried kicking the door on her way out of the restaurant with her friends.
She apparently thought she would get away for her misconduct. However, the manager at the Denny's restaurant decided to call authorities. Employees at Denny's described West's vehicle, which they used to track her down and arrest her, according to the Smoking Gun.
West and her friends were reportedly taken back to the Denny's, the waitress identified them, and they were forced to pay for the meal. After that, police took West into custody.
Apparently, West wasn't the only member of her group to be arrested by police. According to Headlines & Global News, her 31-year-old friend, Jeremy Ivory, was also arrested for providing false identification to police.
