Gwen Stefani's Next Album a Break Up Record

Artists are known to use their past or present experiences as inspirations for their songs. Take Taylor Swift for example, she's known for implicitly using her old break ups in her songs. Adele was also very vocal about her first album. It wouldn't be a shocker if Gwen Stefani does the same. Does it have something to do with Blake Shelton though?

Stefani called in to San Diego's 93.3 FM Radio station to promote her heart break single "Used to Love You". She also mentioned that her album is due to be out early next year.

Explaining what her single and album is about, she called the album "The Break Up Record". Stefani says it's about both of them (referring to the only two men she dated publicly - exboyfriend Tony Kanal, a bandmate in No Doubt and her recent ex-husband Gavin Rossdale). She went on to say that the songs she made were part of her journey and that she created them to possibly help people who are going through the same thing.

While The Voice host Gwen Stefani is trying to get over her divorce, she does it in the best way possible as a musician. In August, she announced her split with Gavin Rossdale. And we can confirm that she's dating Blake Shelton. Although she doesn't talk about her relationship with Shelton on air, she did tell us that her latest album was inspired by her divorce with Rossdale.

And the song "Used to Love You?" "That's the song. That's what I said and I feel really fine about sharing that, and I feel honored to share it," she said while explaining what the track means to her.

The track is already available for digital download. Her third solo album will be released next year, as posted in People.
