"The Voice" teams have officially been halved on Wednesday, Nov. 11, as each coach was forced to say goodbye to three artists on the Live Playoffs results show.
HollyWood Life shared that each coach had to make brutal decisions about who would fill their third and final spot. Two contestants from each team automatically moved on based on viewers' votes alone.
Gwen Stefani's team was the first to hear their results and tensions were understandably high as Carson Daly announced the names of those who would definitely be sticking around. Braiden Sunshine and Jeffery Austin got America's votes. The No Doubt singer chose Korin Bukowski and sent Regina Love, Viktor Kiraly and Elle Lawrence home.
Up next, Team Blake Shelton. Zach Seabaugh and Barrett Baber were voted through. The country singer then added Emily Ann Roberts to fill the third spot. The three singers sent home were Morgan Frazier, Nadjah Nicole and Ivonne Acero.
Pharrell Williams' team's Madi David and Evan McKeel were voted through. The "Happy" singer ultimately chose Mark Hood after agonizing over which three he'd have to send home. Darius, Celeste Betton and Riley Biedered were eliminated.
For Team Adam, Jordan Smith and Shelby Brown were the two contestants announced safe based on America's votes. The Maroon 5 then decided to keep Amy Vachal over Blaine Mitchell, Keith Semple and Chance Pena after making a very tough decision as to who to send home.
In "The Voice" history, it is Blake who is the "winningest" coach. With the strong singers he is going into the Top 12 with this year, it would not be surprising if he makes another run for the trophy.
The Top 12 will perform live on the Nov. 16 episode and the decisions will be entirely up to America from here on out. Two more singers will be sent home on Nov. 17 and it does not really matter what team they are on since the pair with the lowest amount of votes will be send packing. Surely, it is going to be an intense few weeks so stay tuned!
